BELLINGHAM, Wash. - John Riseland, who has served as Western Washington University's basketball clock operator for the past 35 years, was honored along with his wife Brenda prior to Thursday's Central Washington - Western Washington game at Sam Carver Gymnasium.

Earlier this season, John Riseland announced that this will be his final season as WWU's clock operator.

The Riselands were presented with a trophy and gift by WWU athletic director Steve Card as a token of appreciation for their many years of service.
