GNAC to partner with Spokane Sports to host 2028 NCAA Indoor Track Championships

INDIANAPOLIS – The 2028 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships are coming to GNAC Country, as the conference office was announced as a hosting partner alongside the Spokane Sports Commission and The Podium on Wednesday.

The conference has worked with the Spokane Sports Commission and The Podium as its venue for the GNAC Indoor Track & Field Championships since 2022, and will take part in hosting its third NCAA Championship event since the conference was founded in 2001.

"We are incredibly excited to partner with the Spokane Sports and The Podium to host the DII Indoor Track and Field National Championships,” said GNAC Commissioner Bridget Johnson Tetteh. “The GNAC and Spokane Sports have a history of hosting championship, and our staffs work very well together. Spokane's passion for sports and its outstanding facilities creates the perfect backdrop to showcase the GNAC on a national stage. Together, we will provide an unforgettable experience for athletes, fans, and the community, celebrating the spirit of competition and the dedication of the outstanding student-athletes in DII."

The 2028 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships will run March 8-10 at The Podium in Spokane, Wash. The GNAC most recently hosted NCAA Championship events at the 2022 Fall Festival in Seattle, at which GNAC member Western Washington notably captured its second women’s soccer NCAA title. The GNAC also partnered with the Spokane Sports Commission to bring the 2013 Division II Cross Country Championships to the Pacific Northwest.
