PORTLAND, Ore. – Great Northwest Athletic Conference women’s soccer was well represented upon the release of the 2024 all-region teams by the D2 Conference Commissioners Association and the United Soccer Coaches, and the academic all-district teams by College Sports Communicators.

Ten GNAC women’s soccer players were selected to the D2CCA and USC all-region team, including a quartet of players earning first-team on both lists.

GNAC co-Players of the Year Taylor Krueger of Seattle Pacific and Isabella Muzzolini of Simon Fraser were each first-team selections, after being voted as the league’s top players. Krueger tied for fourth in the GNAC with six goals scored and was third in the league with seven assists, giving her an average of 1.00 points per game. Muzzolini contributed six goals and six assists in 2024, ranking just behind Krueger at 0.90 points per game.

Also earning first-team honors were Simon Fraser defender Emily Smith and Western Washington defender Asia Hardin. Smith, voted the GNAC Defensive Player of the Year, helped the Red Leafs allow the second-fewest goals in the conference (14) as they claimed their second straight GNAC Championships tournament title. The senior started 19 of 20 matches and played 1,570 minutes in her final season.

Hardin, who earned second-team all-region for the second year in a row, was a unanimous first-team all-GNAC pick after leading a Viking back line that conceded a GNAC-low 13 goals in 23 matches played (0.57 goals/game). A junior captain, Hardin started all 23 matches and played a GNAC-high 2,056 minutes during the 2024 campaign.

The GNAC champion Vikings (14-4-5, 11-0-3 GNAC) also had three second-team selections, while the Red Leafs added one.

GNAC Newcomer of the Year Kyrsten McGuffey, who led the conference with nine goals scored, picked up second-team all-region recognition. McGuffey started 17 of 23 matches up top, and added six assists to give her a GNAC-leading 24 points. Her five game-winning goals were also the most in the conference. Viking midfielders Mie Cairns and Morgan Manalili each also earned second-team all-region. Both being first-team all-GNAC picks, Cairns and Manalili both started every match of the season. Manalili, who earned her third straight D2CCA all-region honor, tied for the conference lead with eight assists while adding two goals. Cairns played 1,819 minutes and contributed an assist in her sophomore season with WWU.

Simon Fraser sophomore Kiera Scott, who caught fire towards the end of a memorable campaign, also earned placement on the all-region second team. Three of Scott’s seven goals on the season came in the GNAC Championships, as she was named tournament MVP for providing all the offense in the Red Leafs’ title run. Scott, a second-team all-GNAC pick, had three game-winning goals and started 18 of 21 matches in her second season at SFU.

Western Oregon defender Jada Foster represented the Wolves on the USC second-team all-region. The first-team all-conference pick started 13 of 14 matches this fall, playing heavy minutes on the back line. Foster helped the Wolves break their school record with a streak of six consecutive shutouts during the 2024 campaign.

Seattle Pacific senior midfielder Lauren Snedeker also earned all-region recognition, appearing on the USC second-team. The three-year started led the team with 1,579 minutes played and scored three goals including a pair of game-winners. Snedeker helped SPU to a runner-up finish in the GNAC standings and a 12th consecutive spot in the GNAC Women’s Soccer Championships.

Academic All-District (selected by College Sports Communicators)
A total of 23 GNAC women’s soccer players were recognized on the D2CSC Academic All-District team. To be eligible for the award, players must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 and participate in 90% of their team’s games during the season.
