Anderson goes Pro in Portugal

SEATTLE – Seattle Pacific University men's basketball's all-time leading scorer Shaw Anderson signed a professional contract with Clube Atlético de Quelez, a member of League Proliga in the city of Quelez, Portugal.

"We are very proud of Shaw and all he accomplished over his time here at SPU," head coach Keffrey Fazio said. "He will go down as one of the greats to ever wear the uniform. I can't wait to watch him on a professional court. He will have a great career and learn a lot during his time as a pro. We wish him nothing but the best."

Anderson enters the pros as one of the most accomplished players in the history of SPU. He earned four All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference selections, with two First Team honors. He's a two-time D2CCA All-West region selection. Anderson earned National Basketball Coaches Association All-District recognition last season. SPU's all-time leading scorer capped his career with a nod as an All-American.

In his senior season, Anderson appeared and started 32 games for the Falcons. He averaged a conference-best 36.8 minutes per game. He averaged 21.3 points per game, second most in the GNAC. His 680 points throughout the season culminated in history. It was the second-most points scored in a single season in SPU history. He finished his career with 1,987 points to become SPU's all-time leading scorer.

Anderson's offensive efficiency was next level. He shot 50.3 percent from the first with a 37.7 3-point field goal percentage. Anderson did not waste opportunities from the free-throw line. He made 89.9 percent of his attempts, the second-best clip in the GNAC.

On top of his remarkable scoring, Anderson did some of everything for the Falcons. He pulled down 154 rebounds for an average of 4.8 boards per game. He totaled 80 assists this season, averaging 2.5 assists per game. Both averages were career-best for Anderson.

His next venture is with Clube Atlético de Quelez, a member of League Proliga in the city of Quelez, Portugal.
