UAA's John Peckham started his 2024 season with a win at the Seawolf Throwdown on Saturday.
PORTLAND, Ore. – Getting a head start on their 2024 fall seasons last week, Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Fairbanks split the first Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week selections of the year.
The Seawolves and Nanooks were in action in both volleyball and cross country last week, and were the first GNAC schools to compete in NCAA qualifying competition for the 2024-25 school year. Both UAA and UAF went 1-2 in volleyball while competing in Hawaii. The two cross country programs went head-to-head at the Seawolf Throwdown in Anchorage, with the Nanooks garnering both the women’s and men’s team titles.
