PORTLAND, Ore. – A total of 61 Great Northwest Athletic Conference volleyball players were featured on the 2025 academic all-conference list presented by Barnes & Noble College, announced on Wednesday.

The top academic performers in the league featured 30 repeat winners and 31 newcomers. Among that list, WWU’s Adele Holland earned the honor for the fourth time in her career with a 3.91 grade point average while completing her degree in marketing. Ten other players claimed all-conference recognition for the third time and 19 earned the nod for the second year in-a-row.

Seven student-athletes posted spotless 4.0 GPAs, with that list headlined by third-year selections Madison Galloway of Alaska Anchorage (senior, psychology) and Elena Guc of Alaska (senior, homeland security). Others with 4.0 GPAs were Central Washington’s Ellie Marble (junior, PE & school health), Saint Martin’s Tiffany Lam (junior, exercise science), Alaska’s Larissa Scatamburlo (senior, biological sciences) and Western Oregon’s Kate Klobas (junior, business) and Sidney Friesen (sophomore, business).

Western Oregon had the most academic all-conference selections with 11 total, while the University of Alaska was next with eight picks.

To qualify for academic all-conference, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20, must be in at least their second season competing for their team and must have competed on the field during the 2025 campaign.
