PORTLAND, Ore. – After earning first-team All-America honors for the 2025 season, Western Washington’s
Morgan Manalili added first-team Academic All-American to her list of accolades to headline the list of selections from the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
Manalili capped one of the top on-field seasons in GNAC history by earning the top national academic honor as well, becoming the first Viking since the GNAC was formed in 2001 to earn first-team Academic All-America recognition. She was the first GNAC player overall to claim that award since two-time winner Sophia Chilczuk of Seattle Pacific in 2020-21.
Manalili was also among 36 players from the conference who earned academic all-district honors from Collegiate Sports Communicators. She was among four players who earned United Soccer Coaches scholar all-region in addition to academic all-district accolades.
Northwest Nazarene, Saint Martin’s, Seattle Pacific and Western Washington each earned the maximum of six academic all-district selections. Players are eligible for postseason academic honors based on a combination of performance measured by grade point average and on the field.
