PORTLAND, Ore. – Due to the participation of an ineligible student-athlete in one conference game, the Montana State University Billings men’s basketball team will be assessed a deduction of .042 percentage points from its conference win-loss percentage, the Great Northwest Athletic Conference announced today.
The deduction for each occurrence is .042 percentage points and is based on the NCAA Division II principles of nullification. The GNAC’s bylaw on nullification has been in place since 2013. The penalty will be applied at the conclusion of the regular season and reflected in the conference standings.
The top six teams based on conference winning percentage qualify for the 2025 GNAC Men’s Basketball Championships.
