PORTLAND, Ore. – A total of 101 men’s track and field student-athletes earned Great Northwest Athletic Conference all-academic presented by Barnes & Noble College for the 2024-25 school year.

A total of four men’s track & field student-athletes posted perfect 4.0 grade point averages, three of which came from Northwest Nazarene. Repeat winners Carter Alberts (4.0, MBA), Trevor Ames (4.0, counseling) and Laurenz Waldbauer (4.0, global business) each tied for the top mark in the league within the Nighthawks’ roster. The other 4.0 came from Western Washington sophomore TJ Parnow who is working towards a degree in energy science and technology.

Three fifth-year selections – all from Western Washington – joined an exclusive group after first being honored during COVID-impacted seasons. Ryan Greenwalt (3.78 GPA, computer science), Kevin McDermott (3.56 GPA, MBA) and Andrew Oslin (3.84 GPA, MBA) represented the Vikings by being the conference’s fifth-year selections. Western Washington led the conference with 28 total selections to the academic all-conference team.

To qualify for academic all-conference, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20, must be in at least their second season competing for their team and must have competed during the 2024-25 indoor or outdoor campaign.
