That came after he made 8 of 12 field goals on his way to a season-high 19 points in the Seawolves’ 80-71 win over Simon Fraser last Thursday. Herrington also matched his season high with four steals in the win over the Red Leafs, while adding five rebounds and four assists. He ranks fifth in the GNAC with 4.2 assists per game, and he has committed just 11 turnovers in 15 games played thus far.
UAA Head Coach Rusty Osborne: “Hasaan is playing at a high level on both ends of the floor. He is the most efficient ball handler in the country and is one of the best defenders as well. He sets the tone defensively, guarding the other team’s best guard. Offensively he was highly efficient once again, understood when to facilitate and when to look to score himself. He had an outstanding weekend.”
Also Nominated: Mike Miller, Alaska; Calvin Sisk, Central Washington; Mason Landdeck, Montana State Billings; Easton Reagan, Northwest Nazarene; Pablo Navarro, Saint Martin’s; Trace Evans, Seattle Pacific; Mikyle Malabuyoc, Simon Fraser; Jadin Penigar, Western Oregon.
