NAMPA, Idaho - The NCAA has announced the baseball National Championship field for the 2026 season. The Nighthawks have earned an at-large berth as the No. 5 seed in the West Region.
NNU will head west to Seaside, Calif. where they will open their national title run against No. 4 CSU San Marcos on May 14, the loser of that game will play No. 1 UC Monterey Bay later that day.
The other West Region pod sees No. 2 seed Point Loma host No. 3 Cal Poly Pomona and No. 6 CSU San Bernadino. The winners of each regional pod will then advance to a best-of-three Super Regional series at the higher remaining seed on May 21-23, with the winner of that heading to the eight-team DII College World Series at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina from May 29 to June 6.
This is the third straight year that the Nighthawks have earned a spot in the Regional Round as they fell a game short of the championship a year ago.
NNU enters with a 38-16 overall record after defeating Western Oregon in the GNAC Championship on a walk-off sacrifice fly from Elliot Brown last week. This was their third straight GNAC Championship, fifth all-time.
Much more information, including game times, ticket links, streaming options, etc., about the regional games in Seaside, California will be made available on NNUsports.com as soon as they become available.
