LACEY, WA — Saint Martin's University is excited to announce the appointment of Scott Ford as the new head coach of the women's soccer program.

Theresa Hanson believes that Ford will be a great addition to both the program and the broader campus community:

Ford was most notably an assistant coach for the Pacific Lutheran women's soccer program from 2018-2025, during which he helped spearhead recruiting efforts and coached dozens of student-athletes?. During his time with the Lutes, he was a part of one of the best women's soccer programs in the country, amassing an 88-18-11 record over six years, a handful of Northwest Conference titles, and four NCAA Tournament appearances.
Outside of college, Ford has done extensive work with Washington Premier since 2016, with his current role as the head coach of the G08 & G11 ECNL teams. He also was named the head coach of the Tacoma Galaxy USL W League in 2024 and was the head coach of the Seattle Sounders Women from 2018-2020. Beyond his recent experience, Ford boasts over 15 total years of coaching experience, with deep ties to the Pacific Northwest and the greater Puget Sound area, making him a great fit in Lacey.
Coach Ford exclaimed his excitement towards the new opportunity:

Ford will begin his duties on Monday, March 31st.
