PORTLAND, Ore. – Bridget Johnson Tetteh, the long associate commissioner for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, has been selected to serve a four-year term on the NCAA Division II Nominating Committee.

“I am excited about the opportunity to serve the Division II membership as part of the nominating committee,” Tetteh said. “This is also a great opportunity to help support GNAC members who are interested in serving on Division II committees.”

The Nominating Committee reviews nominations for all vacancies on all Division II-specific committees, including men’s and women’s sport committees, and for the Division II positions on committees functioning in an association-wide or multi-divisional capacity, The committee meets in person twice annually and conducts conference calls as needed to fill vacancies.

The appointment is the latest in a series of NCAA committee assignments for Tetteh, who joined the GNAC in 2012. She will complete a three-year term on the NCAA Cross Country and Track and Field Rules Committee in August.

Tetteh has also three-year terms on the NCAA Division II Ethnic Minorities and Women’s Internship Grant Selection Committee (2019-2022) and the Division II Volleyball West Regional Advisory Committee (2012-2015). In addition to her committee work, Tetteh served as the tournament director for the 2022 Division II Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships, which were hosted by GNAC member Seattle Pacific University as part of the Division II Fall Championships Festival, and was the meet director for the 2013 Division II Cross Country West Regional and Championship meets.

A former student-athlete at Western Oregon University, where she earned All-American honors in the heptathlon, Tetteh earned her bachelor’s degree from WOU in 2006 and her master’s degree in education in 2008. She is a 2015 inductee of the Western Oregon Athletic Hall of Fame.
