275 GNAC Student-Athletes Earn D2 ADA Award

CLEVELAND – A total of 275 Great Northwest Athletic Conference student-athletes from four schools were recognized by the Division 2 Athletic Directors Association (D2 ADA) when the organization announced its academic achievement awards for 2022-23 on Thursday.

Central Washington (99), Simon Fraser (18), Western Oregon (98), and Western Washington (60) were the conference members who had student-athletes recognized. To qualify for the honor, the school’s athletic director must be a current dues-paying member of the D2 ADA. The student-athletes must hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher, have completed four semesters of college level work, and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during the last academic year.

In total there were a record-breaking 19,646 student-athletes from 196 institutions recognized in 2022-23, which was the 16th year of the award program.
